Text Box: These prints are scans from transparencies . I see the process as akin to direct forms of printmaking that are extensions of drawing, like Lithography or Monotypes. Unlike most Giclees these images were made to be prints. The original drawing becomes a computer file which I regard as a template. The scanning process picks up the brush strokes, swipes, blots and trickles of the ink drawing which are successfully transferred to the robust surface of the paper during the printing process. A high quality pigment-based ink is used for the final print.
